AAA Inspector Notes
Bright during the day and romantic at night, the cozy dining areas and outside courtyard terrace are reminiscent of New Orleans. The dining room features an intimate décor with low ceilings, heavy fabrics and dim lighting. Light piano music plays softly in the background lending itself to a romantic ambiance. Not to be overlooked is the al fresco dining option in the courtyard. The menu, featuring French and European cuisine, can be complex and often exotic. The dinner menu features dishes for those with a more refined taste for such meats as duckling, duck liver, veal, wild boar, caviar, Norwegian salmon, New Zealand rack of lamb and escargot. The lunch menu is lighter and more casual with sandwiches and pastas. French food can be heavy due in large part to the cheeses and heavy creams, so I went with the award-winning tomato bisque and then a salad so that I could enjoy some dessert. An extensive wine list includes selections to complement your meal, which can be recommended by the competent team of servers. The tuxedo-attired staff utilizes a team approach to service.
