AAA Inspector Notes
In the heart of the business district and blocks from shopping, the property's public spaces are decorated with some Spanish style overtones. The guest units range from standard to petit suites. Book a deluxe category room if you desire a furnished balcony. If you really like to splurge then you can choose the Alhambra or presidential suites. A great gathering place is the terraced pool area open from 6 am to 10 pm. The lobby bar area is popular in the evenings to nosh and imbibe while the pool bar is open just on the weekends. As an incentive to stay in shape while traveling there is a 24 hour fitness room on site. Smoke free premises. 253 units, some two bedrooms. 14 stories, interior corridors. Accessibility (Call).

Pros: The lobby bar was nice.
Cons: There was a beer bottle and a little trash left on our patio from a previous guest. Housekeeping never cleaned it up. It remained there our entire stay (4 days). The mattress was very uncomfortable. The pillows were so small, and looked like they came from a child's bed. We had a one bedroom suite with a nice patio overlooking the pool. The decor of the room was nice, but the ONLY air conditioning vent was in the living room. The bedroom had NO a/c vent. I was told by a staff member, that all of the suites are like that. The bedroom got hot at night, making it even more uncomfortable and hard to sleep. We would have checked out and moved to a different hotel, but we were there for a conference. After two nights of not sleeping, we walked a few blocks to a shopping mall and bought two small fans to help push cold air to the bedroom. The fans did help. But how crazy is it, that you have to buy fans to make your room at a Hyatt Regency comfortable! The "Two Sisters" restaurant was closed for renovations. However, the website does not tell you that. They did offer room service. The food was okay, but nothing great. I will say, the room service staff were very good.
