AAA Inspector Notes
A staple to the area since 1984, this casually upscale restaurant is the quintessential fine dining option in the city. The owner and his staff note that fresh ingredients are not only their trademark, but their pleasure. The dining room is split with one side offering a lodge-style appeal with a stone fireplace and wood floors. This is where the lounge is as well as where the pianist fingers the ebony and ivory keys many nights throughout the week. Photos of celebrities and sports icons line the walls, many of whom have dined here. The other side of the restaurant offers a quiet and more romantic appeal. Dim lighting, low ceilings and ample table spacing lends itself to the ambience. You can also choose to dine on the patio, which is ideal on a cool day or clear night. The menu features a diverse selection of pasta, aged steaks, seafood, chicken dishes, sandwiches and salads. Those with a refined palate will appreciate selections such as escargot, Alaskan king crab, Norwegian salmon, lobster, veal, lamb and calves liver. Fun fact: the last four numbers of the restaurant's phone number are BEEF.
