Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings Historic State Park, on CR 325, 4 mi. w. of jct. US 301 next to the county park, is the restored cracker-style home and farmyard of Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings, author of the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel “The Yearling.” The park, a National Historic Landmark, was the setting for several of Rawlings' books. Guided tours are available. Pets on leash are allowed.
$3 (per private vehicle with maximum eight people); exact change required. House tours $3; $2 (ages 6-12).
Hours: Grounds daily 9-5. Guided house tours Thurs.-Sun. at 10, 11, 1, 2, 3 and 4, Oct.-July; no tours Thanksgiving and Christmas.
