Mary McLeod Bethune Home, 640 Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Blvd. on the Bethune-Cookman University campus, was the residence of college founder Mary McLeod Bethune 1914-55. A guided tour covers most of the rooms in the two-story structure, including the guest bedroom where Eleanor Roosevelt stayed. Highlights include rare photographs of Bethune, her personal items and original furnishings. Bethune's gravesite is adjacent to the house.
