Historic. Just off of the Ave of the bustling downtown district, this eclectic restaurant is set in a historic home and has received countless rave reviews and accolades since opening in 2000. The restaurant is divided into a few different dining rooms, all with their own subtle theme. Original wood floors, vibrant hues and eccentric artwork highlight the restaurant's décor. The courtyard is the ideal place to dine; it features lights strung from tree to tree and some tables surrounding a massive tree. The menu is very diverse with such delicacies as jumbo lump crab cakes, five spice duck breast; jalapeño-agave glazed salmon with cilantro cream and braised beef short ribs. The beef and pork products are all natural and the produce is hand picked. Sweet endings to a fine meal include vanilla crème brûlée and warm banana bread. The service matches the décor—eccentric. The staff members definitely have personality.
