AAA Inspector Notes
Historic. Within a 1902 early revival-style Victorian home, this eclectic restaurant is surrounded by lush Taru gardens and a freshwater pond complete with waterfalls, native fish and turtles. The botanical Taru gardens, featuring more than 500 different species and varieties of plants from around the world, are quite stunning at night when illuminated by hanging lanterns. For special occasions, guests may request a private outdoor table within gazebos and along the pond underneath the hanging lanterns. Accomplished chefs have created a unique menu that is globally inspired and focuses on local and sustainable foods. The menu changes daily to take advantage of fresh ingredients, but house favorites are usually featured every day. If available, start with the roasted tomato soup. It's prepared at the time of ordering and then poured at your table for optimal freshness. Seafood lovers should focus on some of the local fish that is supplied daily to the restaurant. The staff is seasoned and knowledgeable, here to aid you in an unforgettable dining experience.
