Koreshan State Park, US 41 at Corkscrew Rd. on the banks of the Estero River, was the site of the religious community established in 1894 when Cyrus Reed Teed and his followers, members of the Koreshan Unity, arrived from Chicago. Restored historical buildings and gardens occupy the site. Camping and canoe and kayak rentals are available; reservations are recommended. Activities and campfire programs (for campers) are offered seasonally. Special events also are held seasonally.

Note: Due to the ongoing effects of Hurricane Ian, phone ahead for updates. Insect repellent is recommended.

Guided tours are available. Pet friendly (call for restrictions/fees.). Recreational activities are permitted. Camping is permitted. Picnicking is permitted. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
