AAA Inspector Notes
Inspector Pick (Wedding facilities): The seclusion of the charming grounds and 1800's style honeymoon suite is quite appealing to me.
Two houses, from 1885 and 1895, and four cottages comprise this inn, which is situated on lush grounds close to the town center. The rooms' furnishings reflect the Victorian style. A salt water pool can be enjoyed in the garden setting. The cottages are located at the rear part of the property. Rooms and baths are decorated to match the period of the homes. Indigenous flora, brick walkways, fountains and mature oaks surround the property. The outdoor/indoor event space and the "Honeymoon Suite" makes this a popular wedding destination. Smoke free premises. 20 units, some two bedrooms, kitchens and cottages. 2-3 stories (no elevator), interior corridors.

We found the property to be well maintained, still had the charm of being old but updated. Staff was very friendly, enjoyed touring both of the houses on the property. Our cottage was wonderful with antiques, wooden floors, and comfortable. Morning breakfast which is served daily was homemade, many choices, dining was cozy since you are eating with other guests who are also staying on property. Will be going back to stay in another cottage or room offered since they have many different choices.
Pros: We love old historic bed and breakfast's and this fit the bill.

Pros: Breakfasts and evening wine & cheese features were great. Clean accommodations, very nice, friendly, helpful staff. Nice location, quiet, even on holiday! lovely atmosphere and decor.
Cons: Not or handicapped where we were. Stairs-No elevator, but had ramps. Beds are sometimes high to access and in corners which may be difficult to maneuver. Furniture nice but not comfy. Local Restaurant closed New Years, so you could walk or order out.

Pros: We loved this place. Such peaceful retreat.
Cons: We enjoyed mostly everything except the shower/tub. It was a little hard to get in and out of it. If we were an elderly couple, I am not sure that we could climb into it. Everything else was perfect. Thank you!

Unexpectedly luxurious!
Pros: Wonderful room. The excellent location made it easy to walk to the historic downtown. The owner gave us great suggestions for the following day. The breakfast was great, too. All home cooked.
