Lake Kissimmee State Park

Lake Kissimmee State Park is 8 mi. e. via SR 60, 5 mi. n. on Boy Scout Rd., then 5 mi. e. on Camp Mack Rd. following signs. Wildlife abounds in this part of Florida's Osceola Plain between lakes Kissimmee, Rosalie and Tiger, an area that forms the headwaters of the Everglades. During the ice ages this plain lay beneath the sea; the ancient shoreline and beach dunes still are recognizable in the form of a rise and dips on Camp Mack Road. The park has an observation tower and hiking trails. A guided Segway tour is available.
