AAA Inspector Notes
Located on the Gulf of Mexico and protected by a small inlet, you can sit by the pool while admiring the scenery. Only the one- and two-bedroom guest units feature kitchens; the studios do not. All guest units feature a furnished, walk-out balcony. Depending on your travel needs it is important to note that the studios are designed to accommodate two persons whereas the two-bedroom units can accommodate a maximum of six guests. If booking a studio make a request for a corner studio as they provide more space and natural lighting with extra windows. For full housekeeping service during your stay there is an extra charge but guests can always exchange their bath and bed linens as needed. The pool and tiki bar are side-by-side and face the waterfront. Summers in the Florida Keys can sometimes be oppressively hot but fortunately this property had the foresight to install pool chillers to make the pool a refreshingly cool experience. Live music is featured six nights a week.

This is a nice resort type of hotel that is mostly composed of time share holders. The food was terrible. The beach front was not much to speak about. Overall the property was nice. I did like the ability to go right out to the docks for charter fishing and sunset tours. The service was good and they were quick to provide a portable crib for the baby. There was a small fridge and microwave in the room which helped with having to prepare bottles and such. No continental breakfast available.
Pros: I liked the amenities that were available on the property i.e. charter fishing.
Cons: The mattresses were old and uncomfortable for this level of hotel.
The Hammocks was a great place to stay with the conveniences of a condo. Our unit was quite large with comfortable furnishings and very clean.
Pros: The one bedroom suite was great with a kitchen for cooking.
Cons: Screens on the windows would be helpful it you opened the windows.
Perfect and even above our expectations. We recommend!
Pros: large and clean rooms with a nice view on seaside
This place is a timeshare that rents rooms on a nightly basis. It lacks a lot of amenities one would expect when paying resort prices. It was clean and came with a kitchen - useful if staying several days. Probably the best place to stay in Marathon.
Cons: No beach, considering the price and location. It was priced high for its quality
Ok place to stay if you are not too fussy. Take disinfecting towels if you are squeamish about film on the tub walls, stuff on the kitchen counter, and colored smudges of something in the refrigerator. I went out and bought some to make myself at home.
Pros: Concierge, helpful and friendly, Chef in small restaurant friendly. Quiet generally.
Cons: Housekeeping and maintenance left a lot to be desired. Too many dirty spots missed completely in the suite.
The hotel was good, clean and accommodating. Sport fishing, tiki bar with good food and nice swimming pool. Quiet and restful.
Pros: Boat dock with sport fishing.
Cons: No balcony over water or with view. Old building and trees for view.
Pros: This was by far the best hotel we stayed in out of all the hotels in our trip.
Cons: we weren't able too enjoy all the amenities Because of our late check in. but it was well worth what we spent
