Loved my experience at the Spa and the Essensia restuarant for breakfast and dinner too. Everyone was so friendly and helpful.
Pros: It was right on the beach with towels, chairs, cushions, umbrella and bar service! The pool looked very nice too although we never used it. They also had showers outside that were great for washing off the sand and salt from the beach.
Cons: No onsight parking and it was not free.
Pros: this hotel was absolutely amazing. I will definitely be back. The staff all around is completely awesome and super friendly. I am so glad that we chose this hotel. I loved the robes and slippers, what a fantastic way of making us feel. thanks
Cons: At the pool my Nike flip flops were stolen, I thought this was totally not fare, I had to walk barefoot to my room and purchase new ones at the store, for an out of pocket expense of $55. I was a little disappointed with this situation. Maria Diaz
Was my second time staying at The Palms and I'd go back again. Great hotel for the price. Love the drink service on the beach without price gouging (the included 18% gratuity is common in Miami Beach). Not as fancy as some of the South Beach hotels, but it's also a fraction of the price of those hotels.
Pros: Comfortable beds, modern bathrooms with the shower separate from the toilet area, great beach with drink/food service on the beach, plenty of chairs and umbrellas for all the guests, iced melon water by the pool, location is quieter.
Cons: My only complaint is that they were doing some sort of construction (window replacement maybe?) on the floors beneath ours and it was quite noisy on Monday morning while we were trying to sleep (in late).
The hotel was a little tired. I know there are in the middle of renovating it. The view outside our window was the city (totally fine), but down below was a pile of trash and windows on the roof. Very unsightly. Maid service in the room was excellent. Spa was OK. They need to have real massage chairs for pedicures. Good for the clients and good for the staff who are performing them. They looked like they were breaking their backs with us on those benches!
Pros: The beach was nice and the gardens were great.
Cons: Yes, the first room they put us in was the size of a closet and immediately right in front of the elevator. Some of the staff was wonderful (like the front desk), while others were rude and passive aggressive.
Very Poor
Pros: the location
Cons: The small rooms
