AAA Inspector Notes
In the heart of the Art Deco area and nestled quietly on the beach, this hotel features an Asian Deco style that is unparalleled. Spacious units are engulfed in luxury. The lobby is steeped in dark woods to create a calming aura and appeal. The flooring is actually twelfth- and thirteenth-century Shanghai brick inlays. Just off of the lobby sits the serenity pool. This particular pool has a special feng shui arrangement to it, which is a Chinese philosophy that governs spatial arrangement and orientation in relation to patterns of the flow of energy. Unfortunately, you cannot swim or wade in this pool, but there are three pools available for guests' recreation. Each pool is heated at a different temperature: 75 degrees, 85 degrees and 95 degrees. Ladies and gentleman alike can embrace tranquility and serenity of the spa while utilizing this fine facility. There is also a state-of-the-art health club on site, which has everything you need for a total body workout. The guest rooms mirror that of the public areas in relation to the Asian theme. There are different layouts, including residences that feature a walk-out balcony and full kitchen. It's interesting to note that the hotel was blessed by a Buddhist monk before it opened. Smoke free premises. 124 units, some kitchens and condominiums. 7-41 stories, interior corridors. Accessibility (Call).

Pros: The service and the standard of the rooms
Cons: Very little is there for kids on the beach when all the other hotels on the water front have some sort of games for kids if not a Kid center

Heaven
Pros: We loved everything about the Setai! My husband and I stayed here for the last leg of our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived it was a magical perfect stay. We were greeted at reception with complimentary ice teas and then shown to our room by a member of front house. The staff had laid out a bottle of champagne, fruit and a beautiful pudding congratulating us on our marriage in our room. The room, hotel, restaurant, pool and beach were stunning. All of the staff were so friendly and eager to help. We ordered room service and ate in the restaurant, all food was exquisite. We treated ourselves to a couple's massage at the spa and again, this was fantastic. Thoroughly relaxed and great spa team. Words can't describe how amazing the Setai was for us. The level of service was out of this world. The Setai had thought every tiny detail out that made our lives easier, simple things like providing a beach bag and cooling mist when sitting on the beach. We will definitely be returning in the future.
Cons: That we don't live there!
