Chef Tom Colicchio focuses on finding ingredients from local farms and fisheries for this delightful restaurant. The raw bar has numerous options such as clams, oysters and Maine lobster. There also is an array of hand-made pasta dishes enhanced with sea urchin and blue crab. Portions are small in order to encourage sampling. I would recommend the scallop ceviche with green strawberry, sumac and pink peppercorns—it was delicious and incredibly flavorful. The dining room is a marvel to gaze at with its rustic chic ambience highlighted by the use of reclaimed wood, natural stone, bronze and copper color elements. The service team is well organized and attentive with a staff that is passionate about the cuisine and the creative concepts of the chef-owner. The restaurant is usually humming with activity, so be sure to call ahead for optimal seating preference.
