SeaWorld Orlando is at 7007 SeaWorld Dr., at jct. I-4 and SR 528 (Beachline Expwy.). This marine life adventure park has themed shows; up-close animal encounters; attractions; and rides, including the face-down flying coaster Manta, the floorless coaster Kraken Unleashed and the water coaster Journey to Atlantis. At 200 feet tall and running up to 73 mph, the Mako roller coaster is reportedly the highest and fastest coaster in Orlando. Kraken Unleashed, now a virtual reality coaster, transports guests into Kraken's lair in the deep ocean. Shows include One Ocean, showcasing majestic killer whales performing amazing choreography to an original musical score and an elaborate three-story set with panoramic LED screens; Dolphin Days, with dolphins, trainers and exotic birds in an educational production; Pets Ahoy, highlighting the talents of rescued four-legged friends; and “Clyde & Seamore's Sea Lion High,” featuring comical sea lions and otters. The Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin exhibit—complete with chilly temps, simulated snowstorms, imitation ice formations, a penguin-themed family ride and 250 live penguins—provides a glimpse into the fascinating lives of the tuxedoed cold-weather creatures. At the TurtleTrek exhibit, guests visit a manatee and sea turtle habitat before stepping into a huge dome theater for a 360-degree 3-D film experience. Shamu's Happy Harbor features a family-oriented roller coaster, Dolphin Nursery, Stingray Lagoon and Shark Encounter. On the 90-minute Behind-the-Scenes Tour, guests can visit a hidden polar bear den, interact with a penguin, touch a shark and learn how animal experts care for rescued manatees and sea turtles. Several other guided tours are offered. Kennels, strollers, wheelchairs and lockers can be rented. Allow a full day. Guided tours are available. Food is available.
