Wells' Built Museum of African-American History & Culture is at 511 W. South St. Orlando's African-American history is depicted through photographs, artifacts and multimedia exhibits. The structure was originally a hotel built by Dr. William Monroe Wells, one of the area's first black physicians. Time: Allow 45 minutes minimum.
$5; $3 (ages 65+ and students with ID); $2 (ages 4-13).
Hours: Mon.-Fri. 9-5, Sat. by appointment, Sept.-Feb.; Mon.-Fri. 11-4, rest of year. Closed major holidays. Phone ahead to confirm schedule.
