AAA Inspector Notes
Inspector Pick (Conference facilities): With over 400,000 square feet of space I'm in awe of the functions being held here! It's perfect for meetings, weddings, events and concerts too.
The sprawling 230-acre retreat offers upscale rooms, numerous dining and lounge outlets, a championship 18-hole golf course, and extensive spa and recreational facilities. The property garners its name after Mr. Rosen discovered a small stream running through the property. Upon numerous inquiries he discovered that back in the 1800's the settlers used the stream to float Cypress trees down to their settlements so the trees could be made into roofs for their homes. The creek travels south 140 miles all the way down to Lake Okeechobee. There are nature trails around Shingle Creek that point out the wild life and natural habitat, too. Guest rooms epitomize class with custom furnishings, granite counters, upgraded technology and luxurious art pieces. When you're not relaxing in the comforts of your room, spend time enjoying some of the numerous recreational amenities found on site. Smoke free premises. 1501 units, some two bedrooms. 14 stories, interior corridors. Accessibility (Call).

Pros: Came back very late after a day at the parks. Late night dining options/room service was available and the food was actually very good.
Cons: Was fully aware of it coming here, but valet is $26-28/night and self-park was still $15-18/night.

Pros: Great location and absolutely beautiful area. What made this stay enjoyable was the friendly staff.
Cons: On our particular floor, the same dishes were left outside the rooms and left on the hallway floor throughout our stay. Considering the 4.5 star rating, I was surprised to see this.
