AAA Inspector Notes
Inspector Pick (Recreation/Exercise): There is so much to do here I found myself not wanting to leave and visit one of the theme parks. Floating down the lazy river is a must do!
Within walking distance of the popular Universal attractions, this property offers a retro 1950 and '60s design theme throughout and a wide range of activities for the whole family. There is a lazy river to relax in, two huge zero-entry swimming pools that are both over 9,000 square feet in size, a state-of-the-art exercise facility, a fire pit, beach volleyball, ping pong, cabanas and so much more. They even have a bowling alley on site! There are multiple walk-up dining outlets on the premises, as well. This hotel was designed with the family in mind. All rooms come with 2 queen size beds and many have connecting room doors. Smoke free premises. 1800 units. 4-7 stories, interior/exterior corridors. Accessibility (Call).

I really enjoyed my stay. I would rated it a 10 but your rating system does not go that far (at least on my computer) I have already told many friends and family members to stay there when they go to Orlando. I really like AAA prices which is why I booked the hotel. Thank you AAA.

Not sure if I would...
Pros: The view was nice.
Cons: Just felt as if I could have paid less for somewhere else with a pool and a better bed.

Not worth it
Pros:
Cons: Google maps took me to the resort across the street. Parking was a pain. There was no signage directing me where to park before check in. The front parking spaces were all full so I had no choice but to find the garage. I couldn't get into the parking garage without checking in first. Using the call button I was allowed in but all the signage states $45 parking and no indication that its just $12 for people staying at the resort. I wanted to relax in the lazy river for a little while but they tried to charge me for an inner tube rental. Asked some lifeguards where the hot tub was and they looked at each other, laughed and pointed in the direction. They could have just told me there was like 30 people in it instead of acting childish. The room was a standard hotel room, painted blue because "retro theme". Got charged $200 for an $80 room. If you are going with your whole family it might be more worth it, but not to stay by yourself.

Great hotel for families who...
Pros: For an on-property hotel, they don't gouge you on food and drink prices. The pool towels were always well stocked and warm. The staff was always pleasant without being over the top. Beds were comfortable. Shower was always warm and had enough pressure. Our toilet ran the first night, told the front desk, and it was repaired while we were gone the next day. Also, we loved the Garden Walkway to the parks. It took 20 minutes at a normal pace, which was about the same as the bus and walk-in; but was much more peaceful and we never had to wait to board a bus.
Cons: Biggest complaint is that the "smoking areas" for this hotel are right outside the entrances to the walkways by the pool. So, what could have been nice walks, were always filled with smoke. If they had put the smoking areas to the outside by the parking lot, it would have been better.
