AAA Inspector Notes
Garnering its name from the owner of Rosen Hotel's father, this casually upscale restaurant features a small collection of caricatures lining the walls. Said to be the largest collection in the world, most of them were drawn by Jack Rosen himself. While the restaurant is well known for its steaks there is much more on the menu that begs for attention. Blue and king crab, Australian lobster tails, Muscovy duck, rack of lamb, ratatouille and mouth-watering pasta are some of the delicacies offered. Start with Jack's best, a bisque loaded with king crab. Steaks are obviously a popular choice, but the swordfish is succulent and delicious, topped with a mango pineapple chutney that complements the fish perfectly. End with a coffee or port wine paired with the seasonal crème brûlée. The service is hard to match anywhere else in the area—the knowledge, friendliness and high level of attention given by the staff blew me away.
