Housed in a luxury hotel, this contemporary restaurant focuses on using the freshest ingredients available. An on-site organic garden supplies most of the vegetables, which are used to create some of the most flavorful dishes in Central Florida. Imaginative menu creations come and go but one signature dish remains—scaloppini of pork saltimbocca with creamy roast garlic mashed potatoes, wilted spinach and prosciutto ham finished with mushrooms and sage-induced Madeira. For dessert, try the affogato espresso float (vanilla and chocolate gelato with a shot of espresso) and homemade crispy-fried cinnamon zeppole (doughnuts). You would expect service to be stuffy, but it's more of an upscale, casual approach. The staff is knowledgeable as they are apt to explain things in great detail when asked. The extensive wine list will marvel as well. The dining room is accented beautifully with copper accents, hardwood floors and padded walls. An open kitchen gives a glimpse of dishes being perfected as you walk by to get to your table. Be sure to peruse the hotel lobby before or after dinner.
