AAA Inspector Notes
Nestled at the end of a small strip mall on Singer Island, this restaurant prides itself on offering something for everyone. Named after a fisherman that assisted in rescue efforts after a hurricane battered the area in 1928, this spot has been a staple to the community for several years now. The menu is diverse offering salads, sandwiches, raw bar items, meatloaf, pasta dishes, jambalaya, ribs and a variety of steaks. The entrées are fairly large so be prepared to take some leftovers home. The Cuban sandwich is one that you'll have to try, though. Various nautical and beach-themed art as well as some knick knacks decorate the walls and hang from the ceilings. Tropical colors fit perfectly with the beach ambience, which is located just a few steps from where you're eating. The open air environment makes for a spacious dining experience. Good food, a lively crowd and a friendly staff will have you coming back for more.
