Olustee Battlefield Historic State Park, about 2.5 mi. e. on US 90 at 5815 Battlefield Trail Rd., marks the site of the largest Civil War battle on Florida soil. Union forces were defeated decisively at the site on Feb. 20, 1864; the battle is re-enacted every February. Highlights include a visitor center featuring Civil War artifacts and exhibits that tell the story of the campaign that led up to the Battle of Olustee.
