Clinic for the Rehabilitation of Wildlife, at 3883 Sanibel Captiva Rd., features a visitor education center and teaching hospital. Visitors can watch recovering patients via “critter cams” and learn what it takes to be a wildlife veterinarian from exhibits such as Peek at a Pelican and Radiographs. Live animals are on display in the invasive species exhibit. The clinic cares for more than 3,500 annually. Presentations as well as Wildlife Walks take place year-round. Lunch & Learn with CROW's hospital director and a speaker series are available seasonally.
$7; $5 (ages 13-17); free (ages 0-12). A fee is charged for programs. Reservations are recommended for speaker series and are required for Wildlife Walks and Lunch & Learn. Wildlife Walks and Lunch & Learn are not recommended for children under age 13.
Hours: Mon.-Sat. 10-4, Jan.-Apr.; Mon.-Fri. 10-4, rest of year. Presentations Mon.-Sat. at 11 and 2, Jan.-Apr.; Mon.-Fri. at 11, rest of year. Phone ahead to confirm schedule.
