Sanibel Historical Museum and Village, 950 Dunlop Rd., exhibits local artifacts and memorabilia in a 1913 Florida Cracker house. Early photographs and documents trace the history of Sanibel from its pioneer days, while archeological finds document the prehistory of the island. Several restored late 19th-century cottages and early 20th-century buildings are on the site. A 1926 Model T pickup truck is displayed. Guided tours are available.
