Inspector Pick (Social Scene): When wandering the inviting hotel lobby, I direct my footsteps to the Grand Bohemian Gallery to view the impressive art collection.
Since 1888 this historic property has served many functions, including as a courthouse. Rooms are tastefully appointed and include imported furnishings. Enjoy the amenities of the Serenata Beach Club. Public areas have a Moorish theme, complete with hand-painted and hand-stenciled designs, 14K-gold accents and a variety of for-sale artwork adorning the walls. Classic, vintage 1920s vehicles sit just inside the entrance. Due to the U-shape design of the hotel, guests enjoy either a view of the pool area or of the city. Visit the petite pool, which is beautifully accented. Live music is featured two nights a week and during Sunday brunch.

Pros: I really enjoyed the historical look and feel of the hotel. It is elegantly decorated with Spanish style artwork. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The location was perfectly situated a short walk from everything.

Pros: Our bath tub in room 209 did not drain when taking a shower. You stood in water more then ankle deep. The room cleanliness needed some work.
Cons: They had to know that the tub didn't drain. For a 4 star it wasn't as clean as I would expect.

Cons: very poor service in diner. several other customers sitting close were verbalizing same complaints. Also when I called before I checked in to ask about parking and associated cost of such in area. I was told "No worries, we have valet service for our patrons at the hotel, however nothing was said about the charge until checkout. I thought it was deceptive and the cost of valet too high. Lastly better signage could be placed in halls showing where elevators are. Myself and several other patrons ended up in the stairwells on several occasions.

Cons: We were surprised that a florida restaurant did not serve fresh squeezed orange juice for breakfast!
Front desk was overall very helpful but seemed slow to share that the beach club was closed on Mondays.

Cons: Room rate was almost $50 more a night than advertised. We got hit with a $22 resort fee and $26 a night for parking plus we were clearly expected to tip.

Cons: The hotel rate was inflated by a $22 "resort fee" and parking was $26 a day. Popular wedding venue on weekends and there was lots of loud revelers in and around the hotel.
