Just steps from the beach, the property has some unique attributes. The Spanish-style architecture of this hotel offers a striking first impression. There are ten room categories to choose from. The guest rooms feature dark wood tones and cozy beds. Many rooms even have a walk-out balcony or patio. The guest units at the end of the hallways are the largest. There is a mix of connecting and non-connecting guest rooms. The modest fitness room is open frm 6 am to midnight. The poolside tiki bar is open seasonally. For a real splurge book the incredibly spacious Presidential Suite.

Poorly managed facility: walkways are dirty; rooms are not properly cleaned; the bathrooms are the worst aspect; the elevator breaks down several times a day; the pool is small and overcrowded; the poolside furniture is very uncomfortable and dated; furnishings are dusty and dated.
Pros:
Cons: Cleanliness of Rooms (grime and rust in bathrooms being the worst aspect); staff dispositions - they are not helpful or the least bit concerned about your issue if brought to their attention; parking is virtually non-existent- we had to double park one night and hope for a space if we left and returned (i suspect people visiting Vilano Beach were parking there even if they did not have a room and hotel management did nothing about reserving spaces for guests only); elevators break down frequently and had to be reset at least twice during our 2 night stay- this is problematic if you are on the 3rd floor; the internet rarely worked; and finally housekeeping never serviced our room: never made the beds; emptied the trash; or clean the bathroom floor and tub (the one issue I wasted my time calling the front desk about)- no services the entire 3 day stay.

Pros: The breakfast was great and the room was great for the price too. It was just a short walk to the beach which we loved. Nice beach view from our balcony. The staff was very friendly. When we checked in, we where getting a room with no view and on the second floor. But the clerk at the desk was able to give us a room on the third floor with a view of the street and the beach and at a lower rate. A thank you to the staff for making our stay a pleasant one.

The whirlpool was closed off, elevator broken, and none of the front staff offered any information like where to get beach towels, or a deposit charged to credit card. Our room wasn't even ready until 3:20!

Pros: The location with access to the beach was excellent. Also very convenient with Publixs across the street. Also the room was very spacious.
Cons: Neighbourhood is run down and the hotel is in need of some cleaning especially the rugs and grout in the bathroom. Did not like the pillows on the bed, they squished down to nothing. Breakfast service was great but items were constantly out of stock so you had to wait.

Cons: The elevator was broke and our room was on the third floor. The one time we were able to use the elevator before it broke again, the ceiling almost fell on us. They were rude when asked for another bath towel. They hardly had any pool towels. The outside tiki hut only had canned beer, no kids drinks or other variety of drinks. The price for one night was expensive and the amenities should have been better for that amount of money.

Cons: The elevator did not work the 4 days we were there. They never had any pool towels available to use. The maids turned off the air in the room while cleaning. When we got back to room it was warm. Some of the employees were very rude asking for a towel. Clean towels were brought hours after the room was cleaned. For the amount of money that they charge for the rooms I and my family were very dissatisfied with the stay.
