A winding stream—complete with paddleboats—meanders through the middle of this property, which is directly on the Gulf of Mexico. The resort offers several acres of tropically landscaped grounds. An expansive beachfront area begs to be enjoyed, and a giant inflatable slide awaits for kids young and old. The rooms vary in size and configuration; some are very cozy while others offer more space. They are located in various buildings, which are spread along several acres of the beach. Smoke free premises. 585 units, some two bedrooms, kitchens and condominiums. 2-7 stories, interior/exterior corridors. Accessibility (Call).

Pros: The convenience of the beach.
Cons: There's no pool service which is bananas! Rooms are outdated, bed/bedding is very uncomfortable. You can pay extra for a front row cabana but the litter surrounding you is free. Unfortunately this is not a four star resort, but our kiddo didn't mind.

Pros: The location and access to the beach are nice.
Cons: The room was terrible. The AC didn't work and was stuck at 70°, the room next door was literally under construction being completely gutted so we had the lovely scent of paint the whole time as well as hammering and drilling noises.

Cons: Be prepared to spend a lot of money! Resort fee is 50 bucks a day for standard room! Food and drinks are overpriced.

Pros: Decent location on the beach and would be ideal for a family vacation.
Cons: Over priced for the amenities. There was not much spectacular about the hotel. The pools, beach, and everything else closed too early for a weekend. Not a good fit for an adult vacation. Will not stay at trade winds again. Very disappointed.
