Tampa Bay History Center, 801 Old Water St., interprets 12,000 years of regional history covering such topics as Florida's first people, wars, railroads and shipping, and the cigar, citrus and cattle industries. Exhibits explore the Gulf Coast from prehistoric times to the present through artifacts, artwork, textiles, ceramics, documents and furniture. Also on display are over 1,000 items depicting the history of Tampa's cigar industry. Food is available. Time: Allow 1 hour minimum.
$12.95; $10.95 (ages 13-17, ages 65+ and military and students with ID); $7.95 (ages 4-12). Parking: Free in Amalie Arena Blue Lot with validation.
