Ybor City Museum State Park, 3 blks. s. of I-4 exit 1 at 1818 E. Ninth Ave., is in a former bakery with huge brick ovens still intact. Displays depict Ybor City's founding by Don Vicente Martinez Ybor as well as the cigar industry, which brought many nationalities to Tampa. An 1895 cigar worker's cottage (La Casita) furnished in period is open by guided tour. Walking tours of Ybor City also are offered; reservations are required. A garden features statues, a fountain and picnic tables. Guided tours are available. Picnicking is permitted.

Hours: Wed.-Sun. 9-5. La Casita tours are given Wed.-Sun. on the hour 10-3. Closed Jan. 1, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Allow 30 minutes minimum.
