Pros: The BED was incredible; pillows were great!! We actually blew off our event on the third day just to hang around the room and catch up on some much needed rest! Breakfast was fantastic, the make-your-own waffle bar was a great hit with my little one. The inside was nice and clean/fresh everywhere you looked. The room was well equipped, super clean, spacious, and SUPER-comfortable. Really great table slides out from under the desk to use for meals and was also great to play cards and do some drawing with my little guy. The shower has the most awesome water pressure and super amount of hot water, unfortunately, I only found that out on the third day as I had not been turning the handle 1.5 turns to get way around to the hot settings - the first two days I didn't mind the tepid water as we had been outdoors and it was HOT outside!!! If not for the Jacuzzi being a bust and the way I was treated by the weekend manager (Amy) I would have given this hotel a 9 or 10 rating. Over all I would suggest this hotel, and probably even return to it or one like it as the issues I did have were mainly with staff and the listing, and not the overall comfort, location, or other qualities of the facilities. Unfortunately, in dealing with those issues had put a huge damper on our weekend, stressed me out, and caused us to pretty much miss all the good events at the venue on Friday all together.
Cons: The booking.com site description of the property, which I understand comes from and is written by the facility which places it, clearly stated that this property had a Jacuzzi, which it did not. The manager Amy, who checked me in and did a good job of being rude from the start by counting out loud "$20+$20+$20 per night for a returnable deposit fee equals $60" (which also was not mentioned in their ad) in a rather condescending tone when I did not clearly hear her and apparently misunderstood what she had originally stated. After seeing her in the hall a couple hours later, having just tried to run inside to wash my son and I off from being in the pool, which had particles of whatever, hairs of all styles, and leaves floating in the water, I almost felt like I could feel the germs - - I AM NOT KIDDING OR EXAGGERATING HERE - - she stated that there were some other maintenance issues which had taken priority throughout the day and they would get right on fixing the problem; but also quickly pointed out (like I was too ignorant to see or know for myself just from being a resident of Florida for over 15 years, that it was just about time for our daily afternoon storm, so the pool would have been closing anyway. Big "hairy" deal was my internal thought, it SHOULD HAVE BEEN CLEAN when we were out there! After we decontaminated, I called down to the front desk to ask about where this JACUZZI was since I had not seen it outside, and it was THE MAIN REASON we had booked with this property. In not so many words made me feel like I was in the wrong class of hotel, that "perhaps I could find something that better suited my price point with the amenities I desired" and then suggested I come and get a full refund and find lodging elsewhere - no, I am not kidding here either!!!
