AAA Inspector Notes
Serenely situated just steps from the beach, this boutique property offers the ideal getaway for couples. The property provides many of the personal touches and amenities of a bed and breakfast. The property took a beating from the hurricanes of 2004 and 2005 and has since been renovated to an unparalleled distinction, which has garnered many raves from critics and guests alike. The building is painted a tropical yellow and is covered with crawling ivy, which sets the tone for a warm and tropical first impression. The guest rooms are furnished with antique pieces throughout and feature a Caribbean flair with some Mexican influences. Each guest room also features artwork from local artists, cozy beds, a spa amenity package and a mini bar. The best part about the guest rooms is that just about everything in them is for sale! Most of the rooms also feature a patio or balcony with many offering tranquil views of the pool area. An award-winning restaurant, coffee shop and piano bar are located on the premises. The hotel does have a working relationship with a local country club that offers a spa, golf, health club and tennis. Smoke free premises. 18 units, some efficiencies. 2 stories (no elevator), exterior corridors.

Pros: Very quaint and charming with excellent staff.
Cons: It was all very nice.
Very Good

Pros: Really clean, and warm homey atmosphere in the room. Lots of shelf and drawer space would make it a nice place to stay for a longer visit. Charming tile in the courtyard and room. Lovely little patio right outside a separate door. Nice path around the building and gate to cross the street and walk to the beach. It was a very nice room.
Cons: The office was closed. I had to call to find out how to even enter the parking lot. Then find a key box where a key had been left for me. It was not especially "welcoming" after a long drive. The back was missing on the TV remote so when i picked it up the batteries fell out. I had to go online and look up how to set the remote to make it work with their cable service. The in-room fridge buzzed so loudly I had to unplug it to sleep. But the AC was also quite loud so it woke me up every time it kicked in. It wasn't very restful, despite the comfort of the room and the bed. THERE WAS NO PHONE IN THE ROOM AT ALL. And the alarm clock was on a table near the door -- NOWHERE near the bed. I didn't bother setting it because I wouldn't have wanted to dash across the room to turn it off. There were no instructions on checking out in the morning, and there was no one in the front office when I left so i just put the key on a table. I didn't even get a receipt for the room, which is great since I have to submit the expense to be reimbursed. All I have is the receipt.

Cons: After hours nobody helps you! There is nobody Water with bad taste and smell.

Pros: We have stayed at this location before and we really enjoyed it! We are also referred others to this location and they have enjoyed it as well. We really really enjoyed the time away from home and in the surroundings, the service, the food and accommodations!
Cons: Our only complaint and it is very minor is that on the second night of dining the main dining room was filled and we had to eat dinner in the same dining room that we ate breakfast. That's the only complaint and that's very minor and something that just happened because so many people happen to be dining that evening.

Pros: We were overwhelmed by the beauty of the outside, and then we saw our room. It was quaint, and had the feel of an European villa. The area is quiet and secluded. There is a quick access route to the beach. The breakfast was superb with great variety....and free! Dinner was very good and affordable. The staff was very attentive. Overall, it was a 10 of 10.
Cons: Parking was a bit crowded, although there is ample parking unbeknownst to us. There is a season ond, larger parking lot adjacent to the main one. The gate doesn't open unless you get your vehicle really close-a small negative compared to the overall experience.
