Florida Carriage Museum at the Grand Oaks Resort is at 3000 Marion County Rd. On a 400-acre horse farm in Florida's horse breeding and training country, this museum displays a collection of more than 160 restored two- and four-wheeled conveyances, including an 1840s dress chariot owned by Emperor Franz Josef of Austria. The grounds include carriage paths, the Qin Dynasty Gardens, a Japanese koi pond and a variety of horses, including a rare Poitou donkey. Carriage tours and carriage driving lessons are available.
