Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society is at 1301 Summit Blvd. in Dreher Park. The 23-acre zoo is home to more than 500 animals from Florida, South and Central America, Asia and Australia. Exhibits include Florida panthers, two Malayan tiger habitats, giant anteaters, exotic birds, Komodo dragons and a white alligator. The Tropics of the Americas section features Mayan pyramids housing jaguar and bush dog habitats. Children's attractions include an interactive fountain, a carousel and a train. Daily shows take place throughout the day. Behind-the-scenes programs are offered. Rental strollers and wheelchairs are available. Picnicking is permitted. Food is available. Time: Allow 2 hours minimum.
$19.95; $17.95 (ages 60+); $14.95 (ages 3-12).
Hours: Daily 9-5. Last admission 45 minutes before closing. Carousel and train ride close at 4:30. Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.
