Classic. In business since 1950, this popular dining landmark lives by the mantra, cooked in sight, must be right—most menu items are cooked out in the open, so diners can see their food being crafted. Vibrant colors and elaborate designs aid in achieving the multifarious and eclectic décor. Artwork is scattered throughout the dining room with much of it being for sale. The menu features sandwiches, seafood, salads, pasta, all-day breakfast items, steaks, burgers and homemade desserts. The turkey sandwich is a personal favorite as it is fresh and hand-carved. Be prepared for a wait if you plan to eat during peak dining times. Much of the staff has been here for years and just about all are as eclectic as the décor.
