Historic. On the outskirts of the city of Windermere, this quirky spot is a must try. In the midst of eclectic surroundings and antiques, the café boasts inspired culinary sandwich creations at moderate prices. The walls are decorated with random knickknacks, jarred homemade preserves, bottles of wines and hundreds of messages that patrons have scribbled over the years. The dining room is small but it does extend to a patio which offers some added space. The menu features sandwiches with such names as tuna twister, thin Elvis, puppy love, Fido's feast and holy crap. Commonly referred to as the dog, this eatery has garnered quite a reputation for providing some of the most innovative gourmet sandwiches in Central Florida.
