Lavas (a big, hollow ball of bread) is a specialty here and can be enjoyed with assorted dips such as hummus and baba ghanoush, or with your meal. Main courses include savory lamb, beef and chicken--chunked, sliced or ground, moussaka and stuffed cabbage. My recommendation is to order several items and share. Instead of baklava for dessert, try the kunefe, which is made with a sweet Turkish cheese coated in shredded wheat and soaked in a sugary sauce.
