AAA Editor Notes
Georgia's Old Governors Mansion is at 120 S. Clarke St. Guided tours share the mansion's history. Completed in 1839, the building was home to eight of Georgia's governors over the next 30 years, including George Crawford, Howell Cobb and Joseph E. Brown. In 2005 the house was restored to its 1851 appearance. The mansion features period holiday decorations in December. The behind-the-scenes Curator's Tour; the Collections Tour, which showcases the mansion’s decorative arts; and the Labor Behind the Veil tour, an African American interpretation of antebellum life, are offered by reservation.

Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 45 minutes minimum.
