Pros: The decor was modern and pleasant. The bed was very comfortable and the room was extremely roomy with a tv in front of the bed and one in front of the sleeper sofa. Most importantly, THE ROOM WAS CLEAN! No stains on the carpet and even more significant, no stains on the sheets or pillowcases, the comforter was clean enough to sit or lie on (I never feel comfortable enough to sit, least of all lie on the comforter) and I did just that...made myself comfortable! The bathroom was so big, the biggest I've seen in a 3 star or this size hotel...I mean large enough to step out of the shower/bath and get dressed in the bathroom if you wanted to, so I did just that since there were 3 people in my room. When you walk in, nothing but ample space, enough space to space to put your luggage away from your sleeping area. There is a separate small sink near the microwave and frig, with 3 cabinets over the sink for storage. They even leave plastic wear and paper plates in your room! The blanket, sheets and pillow are place in a plastic bag on a shelf in the room. Plenty of bright lightening options in the room. Privacy/darkening curtains and a lot of outlets (no USB outlet to charge your phone but you can always connect the USB to a port if you have one). Also, the front desk person who was there around 2:00 P.M. was absolutely friendly and accommodating. Check in is at 3:00 and she had someone on the phone who I could tell was giving her a hard time because only one of her rooms were ready for check-in (it could have been someone in our group of travelers & I know they told us the check-in time but said we could call because if they had rooms cleaned and ready we could check-in early), this young African American lady handled that call as calmly as she could. She repeated the same thing at least 5 times but kept the same tone and gave the valid reason her other room was not ready but assured her it would be ready at 3:00.
Cons: As roomy as the room was, we were surprised and disappointed when we let out the sofa bed and it literally touch the drawers/TV stand in front of the sofa. Something has to be done about this. Maybe it's not like that in every room, but that was the biggest inconvenience and disappointment because we actually had to walk or crawl across the sofa bed to get to the bathroom, microwave, drug, door, etc., and when my dad was asleep the next morning I woke him up several times crawling across the bottom of his bed, there was not an inch of room to squeeze between the sofa bed and the tv stand. If this logistics problem is resolved the room will be completely perfect. I still gave it the highest rating because of cleanliness, space throughout the rest of the room and bathroom. Also, I would have given the highest rating for hotel staff if the guy who worked at night around 9 or 10:00 PM had said hello, nodded his head hello, managed a half smile, or acknowledged us as we ran out to the car and back in. Mind you this was his first time seeing me that day. I don't know his name unfortunately and I hate that I may describe his race incorrectly so I will just say he was neither white or black, he was a fair skin complexion (light to fair brown with a curly nice grade of hair)...again I apologize for the poor description that would definitely annoy me. And also, the African American male who was at the front desk when we left at 11:55 AM. He did managed a curious half smile, I had to say "good morning" before he said anything and he gave us a look as if he didn't have to speak. I even went back to ask him if there was something wrong (I'm serious about customer/guest service), I asked if we were wrong about check out time which is 12:00, at least that's what we were told, and he said "no," nothing's wrong.
