Center for Puppetry Arts is at 1404 Spring St. N.W. at 18th St. (MARTA: Arts Center station). Reputedly the country’s largest organization dedicated to puppetry, the center's museum displays a comprehensive collection of Jim Henson puppets and artifacts and a collection of puppets from around the world. The center regularly features performances for families and adults, Create-a-Puppet workshops, Explore Puppetry adult education workshops and guided tours. Guided tours are available. Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
Museum $10.50. Museum and guided tour $14.50. Museum, a Family Series performance and a Create-A-Puppet workshop $20.50. Advance reservations are highly recommended for events and activities.
