Nicest place to stay in...

Pros: Clean and updated facilities. Very friendly staff. Breakfast selection was good.

Cons: Price, seemed a bit much for amenities and location. Difficult to see a street sign and pulled into wrong property which (along with trees) blocks Hampton Inn from the road. Could not find drape pull, light shined in window all night—another guest complained of same. Found it the next morning. When you’ve been driving/tired—you need easily accessible things like drape pulls.

Pros: Good location. Away from highway noises so nicely quiet.

Cons: The hotel was undergoing renovation. On the plus side the work was not too intrusive and it looks like the results will be very nice. On the downside: hotels and chains will NEVER tell you about renovations underway when you make the reservation.

Pros: Clean, remodeling which means they care about the way the hotel looks, but was not a mess, breakfast was great.

The Cornelia Hampton Inn offered...

Pros: The breakfast area was comfortable and a reasonable selection of warm and cold food. Size of the room was adequate. Bathroom was in good condition.

Cons: Controlling the room temperature was a little tricky. Even though the control panel seemed good, it would not control to the temperature very well and was either a little too cool or a little too warm. Dust layer was stuck on the grill of the heating/cooling unit. That’s it!

Bedding Is Below Standard

Pros: Staff was very friendly. Check in was effortless.

Cons: Bedding was well below what we are accustomed to at a Hampton Inn. I have back trouble and I stay at Hampton Inn because up until this stay, the bedding at Hampton Inn has been marvelous; luxurious even. After the first night I couldn't hardly walk for about two hours after waking up. I asked the clerk about the quality of the bedding and she said there was a room that still had a softer bed and allowed me to check it out. It was what I was accustomed to, but unfortunately someone had been smoking in the room and the smell was overwhelming. No other alternatives were offered. That night I had to sleep on the sofa because the bed was just too hard and my back couldn't take a second night. I know my back problems aren't Hampton Inn's problems, but this Hampton is not up to standards with others with which we have stayed. I can't just say well it's a Hampton so it's all good any longer.

Cons: The carpet was disgusting. I had to put towels on the floor so I could walk. The bathroom floor was gross and the shower head was broken. I had to hold it to take a shower. The air never did get cool enough nor did it remove the humidity. AND to top it off, I paid 239.00 for one night....

Clean, family friendly property with...

Pros: Staff was really friendly and attentive to keeping the property clean and safe. Rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. We booked this hotel to evacuate from Hurricane Irma. Even when we lost power from the storm, the staff was very friendly, informative and made guests as comfortable as possible.

Pros: Location was great; Breakfast was awesome; Staff went above and beyond to accommodate our large group in town for a funeral; assisted us with a dinner on site; and even allowed us a later checkout, so we wouldn't have to dress up and check out in a rush. Everyone was super nice.

A hidden gem, worth the...

Pros: The breakfast was "the BEST!" that I ever enjoyed at a Hampton/Hilton Inn! And my daughter is a freshman soccer starter. I mention this, not to brag (well maybe to brag a little), but to put my review of this Hampton Inn with an AWESOME Staff, in context. Any parent of a kid on a competitive sports team undertands the years of team travel, and "THE BREAKFAST" as a essential element. To my surprise, as I rushed to make the 10am cut off, the breakfast was completely there, fresh, just refilled! At 10:07, I added juice, poured a waffle, selected some more fruit, and in a relaxed fashion, enjoyed a second serving of oatmeal. I swear, I am not lying! Not a single move was made, to clear away breakfast until I was finished. Hampton Inn breakfast is my daughter's favorite, but in most hotels, by 9:50am, you're lucky to scrape the bottom, if there is any oatmeal left, at all. By 10:05, if you haven't grabbed what you want, the entire setup is cleaned up. The quality of the entire breakfast, eggs and sausage, was clearly superior. A beautiful mom came out and asked if I needed anything, encouraged me to take an apple with me. I expressed my appreciation. She replied, that when she saw me come down for breakfast, she was thrilled since she has just made some more eggs, and she feels it is "just rude to begin clearing away food while people are eating!" Not surprising, She said, "If I wouldn't serve it to my own family, I would not serve it here!" She and the entire staff, epitomized Southern hospitality.

Pros: We have stayed at this location a few times while in town for family reunions. The staff is always nice and helpful.

Pros: The lady at breakfast was lovely and kind. Nice breakfast. Comfortable room, great bed. Quiet surroundings.

Cons: Cornelia was much further away from things we wanted to do and see. Although we really liked the hotel, the distances to the wine country, Alpine Helen, etc. were a bit much.
