Holliday-Dorsey-Fife House Museum is at 140 Lanier Ave. W. Built in 1855, the Greek Revival antebellum house is the former residence of three famous people: John Stiles Holliday, uncle of the infamous John Henry “Doc” Holliday; Solomon Dawson Dorsey, Colonel of the state militia who helped enlist volunteers for the Confederacy; and Robert E. Lee Fife, a former member of the Fayetteville city council. Temporary exhibits also are available. A Cemetery Spirit Walk is held in late October. Time: Allow 1 hour, 15 minutes minimum.
$5; $4 (ages 55+, military and students with ID).
Hours: Tues.-Sat. 10-3. Closed Jan. 1, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
