AAA Editor Notes
Jekyll Island Historic Landmark District Tour, a cluster of late 19th-century cottages along Riverview Dr., is a reminder of an era when social life revolved around the Jekyll Island Club. Tours begin at the Jekyll Island Museum in the old club stables on Stable Road, where permanent exhibits explain the island's history.
A 90-minute, narrated Passport to the Century open-air tram tour of the district includes entry to two restored historic homes and a chapel. The Rockefeller Experience tour visits Indian Mound Cottage. Other programs are available seasonally.
Guided tours are available.
