AAA Editor Notes

Six Flags White Water is at 250 N. Cobb Pkwy. With more than 20 rides and 40 slides on a 50-acre site, the park is said to be the largest water park in the Southeast. On Typhoon Twister, riders in a four-person raft experience a five-story vertical drop into a huge bowl before being spun through a chute and launched into a splash pool. Wahoo Racer is a 60-feet-tall slide in which riders can reach up to 40 feet per second while racing to the bottom on water toboggans. Standing 10-stories tall, Dive Bomber is the tallest slide at the park, and once inside a capsule, occupants are sent through a trap door to drop at nearly 90 degrees to the pool below. Tornado is a 75-feet-tall superstructure that twists riders down into a 60-feet-tall, 130-feet-long giant funnel complete with rushing water. Other attractions include the Little Hooch lazy river and the Atlanta Ocean wave pool. Allow a full day. Food is available.
