Georgia's Old Capital Museum is at 95 Depot Circle Dr., at the train depot on the Central State Hospital campus. The museum preserves the historical and cultural heritage of the area. Ten galleries interpret middle Georgia's timeline beginning with early Native American cultures through exploration and colonization of Georgia and concludes with reconstruction efforts of the late 19th century.
Guided tours are available with advance reservations. Note: The museum is in the process of relocating to its new location on Depot Circle Drive. Phone for updates.
