Savannah Children's Museum is in Tricentennial Park at 655 Louisville Rd. The outdoor museum is home to more than one dozen interactive exhibits just for kids. Children can run, explore and touch various educational displays and participate in daily programs. Highlights include a walk-through maze, a sensory garden, playable musical instruments from around the world, building with blocks and LEGOS, learning through play in Exploration Station, dress-up and story time. Some of the outdoor areas are under cover.
$7.50; free (under 18 months). A combination ticket is available that offers admission to three of the following five sites: Georgia State Railroad Museum, Savannah Children’s Museum, Savannah History Museum, Old Fort Jackson and Pin Point Heritage Museum.
Hours: (weather permitting) Mon.-Sat. 9-2, June-Aug; Wed.-Sat. 10-4, Sun. 11-4, rest of year. Allow 1 hour minimum.
