Pros: The locations is wonderful, and the common areas have a unique vibe. The room was also quite spacious, with a lovely view.
Cons: The hotel was really nice. The only thing which kept it from being a absolutely perfect was that it lacked little touches to put the experience over the top. There weren't really any small touches (like a small breakfast spread) to exceed my expectations.

Pros: The hotel is perfectly located and wonderfully charming. We enjoyed a river view room, so the short amount of time we were in the room, we could stand on the small balcony and watch the people below and the many gigantic freighters cruise up and down.
Cons: The parking arrangements.

Historical Inn on the Savannah...
Pros: staff were knowledgeable and friendly-as advertised, our room faced the river with a Juliette balcony which was actually large enough for one at a time to view the river front.
Cons: facility is well over-priced. No real amenities except a hospitality room for late afternoons. If you're busy, which we were, you can't even take advantage of that. A lot of noise on the river ie cargo ships blowing all hours, like 3 AM which makes sleeping a little dicey and makes you need to sleep in and your day is shot by the time you get moving.
