Pros: It was a lovely and cozy environment. My room was well appointed and the staff were all very helpful and kind.
Cons: The only negative was that I couldn't watch movies in my room. They did say that they were working on getting pay per view soon.

Pros: Awesome Room, Beautiful Lobby, Butler, Milk and Cookies at night, Rose Petal Bath for the ladies, locker room for men is heaven on earth!
Cons: I could not stay long enough!

Pros: The views had to be the best thing about this resort. This is a golf lovers dream.
Cons: This defintely is a place just for men, not suitable for most women unless you golf. I was surprised there was no pool, no beach access with chairs, etc. There was not much to do there except golf. We also didn't like that we didn't have a balcony to sit outside on. I don't see how it is rated the #1 Resort in the US. Sorry.
Pros: Southern charm and excellent golf and golf instruction.
Cons: Oak room restaurant was under staffed and had some rookie servers.
Pros: Absolutely perfectly done steak for two at the signature restaurant at The Lodge. Service was superb, both at dinner and throughout the property. Extra touches like beautiful turndowns, large corner room, a special birthday dessert, and an extremely comfortable bed all contributed to a sense of well-being. Everyone remembered our names, was welcoming and service oriented. We so disliked pulling out of the driveway!
Cons: Challenging to get space on the terrace during sunset; breakfast a real disappointment - went late and buffet items, despite a heat lamp, were cold and unappetizing. Italian restaurant at the Cloisters just not up to par as authentic, and service was a bit condescending. Also, I wish the "resort" fee was just put into the price of the room! It is required so why "nickel and dime"?
Pros: Quiet and comfortable. Warm cookies at bedtime.
