Warm Springs National Fish Hatchery, s. on SR 41 to 5308 Spring St., also is a wildlife and wetlands habitat area. The hatchery focuses its efforts on fish and other aquatic species native to the southeastern United States. Striped bass, lake sturgeon, alligator gar, sicklefin redhorse, gopher frogs and freshwater mussels are among the species visitors will see. The hatchery features a public aquarium and two outdoor habitat pools, a display of carnivorous plants, a nature trail and an enclosed wetland area containing an American alligator.

Time: Allow 30 minutes minimum.
