AAA Editor Notes
Washington Historical Museum is at 308 E. Robert Toombs Ave./Bus. Rte. 78. Built about 1835, this museum houses antique furnishings and Confederate relics, including Jefferson Davis' camp chest. Revolutionary War and Native American history exhibits also are on display. A turn-of-the-20th-century doctor's office is on the grounds.

Guided tours are available.

Self-guiding tour $5; $3 (ages 6-12). Guided tour $10; $3 (ages 6-12).

Tues.-Sat. 10-5. Last tour begins 45 minutes before closing. Closed major holidays.
