Pros: Amazing location away from the craziness of Waikiki, but close enough so as to be accessable.
Cons: Restaurant and bar were closed due to renovations.

My stay at the Aqua Lotus was a true retreat. Though Waikiki was a short walk (and shorter bike ride), the hotel's location at the base of Diamond Head Mountain, offered spectacular views, serenity, and lots of opportunity to relax. I took advantage of their complimentary coffee followed by yoga at the park in the mornings, and used the bikes several times each day to explore, catch a quick bike to eat, and to visit the more central and busy parts of Waikiki.
Pros: Complimentary coffee, yoga and bikes helped round out my stay in a wonderful way. Also loved waking to the view of Diamond Head Mt. Breathtaking.
Cons: I didn't mind the distance from Waikik central, but this could be a problem if I was with my smaller child.

Pros: The staff were very accommodating. Like the wines served between 4-6. The room had a great view and we were upgraded without asking due to the fact that they didn't have the right bed requested.
Cons: Overnight parking fee. I guess you could park on the street at night as there was plenty of spaces, however, during the day it would be tougher and for a fee.

Cons: The night front desk staff didn't come across as being super friendly.
